It was the summer of ‘69, and after being open for one whole day, Brian Smith closed up his new shop to attend the legendary concert. Thus was established North Country Fair Jewelers; a one-of-a-kind, full-service jewelry experience.
North Country Fair is a jewelry store like no other with its unique ‘down to earth’ feel. With all repair jobs done in house, North Country Fair customers keep coming back, with some having come since its beginning in 1969.
Almost sixty years have passed, and three generations of Smiths now lend their individual talents and expertise to customers old and new. Brian, his two daughters Emily and Katie, son–in-law Greg and granddaughter Nico.

Also, recently-recruited, long-time friend, bench jeweler Steve Talbot, and the knowledgeable and accommodating ladies at the counter- Lynne (Certified Gemologist), Nancy and Joanne, are ready to assist with your jewelry needs, each equipped with the talent and experience the store is known for. Each family member meets the diverse needs of customers, and each comes with their own artistic talent waiting to help you in creating your original gemmed memory prepared to make it last!

People from many walks of life can look to North Country Fair Jewelers for show-stopping custom creations, as well as an exhaustive array of new, estate, antique jewelry and watches, silver flatware, coins, jewelry appraisals, everyday repairs, custom jobs and more. In the winding rooms, visitors can explore cases overflowing with pieces from top-of-the-line companies such as Sylvie, Allison Kaufman and so much more.

Their cases include collections featuring gemstones found in Maine and New Hampshire, unique items created in-house by our talented bench jewelers, curated offerings from other local artisans, vintage and estate treasures, and of course, all manner of sterling silver.
